Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our services.
Do you accept cash payments?
Cash payments are welcome! To secure your spot in class, please submit a reservation request. As our classes tend to fill up quickly, reserving your seat in advance is essential, as walk-ins may not be accommodated. Note: Cash payments are not eligible for special offers or discounted prices.
Is Conceal and Carry MN a legit company?
Yes! We are approved by the Minnesota BCA, and your firearms instructor is certified to provide training. Therefore, a sheriff must accept this training when you apply for your permit. We make it easy to obtain the required training to apply for your MN Permit to Carry. It doesn’t need to be complicated; our students love the convenience!
Why isn’t there a test?
The State of Minnesota doesn’t require a written exam; therefore, neither do we. The only requirement is the successful completion of a shooting qualification exercise. You can read the state statutes if you’d like, or you can take our word for it!
We require that students have the ability to demonstrate safe handling and use of a firearm. Your instructor will ensure that you have what you need to do this.
What should I bring to my permit to carry class?
Please remember to bring a valid form of identification and wear closed-toe shoes for safety purposes.
Is a firearm and ammunition provided?
Absolutely! We provide a .22 caliber Beretta pistol for your use during the class, at no extra charge.
Can I bring my own firearm and ammunition if I prefer?
Yes, but it must be unloaded in a closed case and never opened in the classroom. Additionally, we ask that you have your magazines loaded with a total of 25 rounds of ammunition. Before use, your firearms instructor will perform a functions check to ensure everything is in order.
Where are the classes conducted?
Our classes are held at Stock and Barrel Gun Club in both Eagan and Chanhassen. Both the classroom instruction and live fire shooting exercises take place at these locations. Please note that while our classes are conducted at these locations, our company is unaffiliated with Stock and Barrel Gun Club.
How long does the permit to carry course take?
The classroom portion typically lasts for about 1 hour, while the live fire session usually ranges between 5 to 15 minutes per student.
How do I apply for my permit to carry?
