New to firearms? The Beginner Shooting Lesson is a training session designed to help you build safe handling skills and confidence in a supportive, instructor-led environment.

This is a one-on-one lesson with your firearms instructor with an option to add one additional student.

The lesson is 1 hour long and everything is included.

Lesson Details

Description: Build confidence and learn handgun fundamentals in a supportive environment. This beginner-level session is ideal for first-time shooters or anyone looking to refresh core skills. Use your own firearm or use ours. Try out several of the top concealed carry and home defense handguns to find the one that’s right for you before purchasing one. This lesson may be tailored to meet specific firearm training goals.

Minimum Age Requirement: 21 years old

Prerequisites: None

Location: Joe’s Sporting Goods in St. Paul

Student Capacity: 1 or 2 students

Students Will Learn:

  • Proper pistol grip and stance
  • Front and rear sight alignment and sight picture
  • How to load, unload, and manipulate a handgun using training tools
  • Common malfunction clearing techniques
  • Safe handgun handling and shooting fundamentals
