MN Permit to Carry Renewal

Renewing Your Minnesota Permit to Carry

To renew your permit, you’ll need to complete the same Permit to Carry training course as first-time applicants. Renewals can be done up to 90 days before your permit expires, and applying within this timeframe qualifies you for a discounted rate at the sheriff’s office.

We offer fast and convenient 2-hour in-person classes at Joe’s Gun Shop inside Joe’s Sporting Goods in St. Paul, where you’ll have access to a private onsite gun range for the qualification.

Many students renewing their permits also choose our online class option, making the process even more flexible and convenient.
