Renewing Your Minnesota Permit to Carry

To renew your permit, you’ll need to complete the same Permit to Carry training course as first-time applicants. Renewals can be done up to 90 days before your permit expires, and applying within this timeframe qualifies you for a discounted rate at the Sheriff’s Office.

We offer fast and convenient 2-hour in-person classes at Joe’s Gun Shop inside Joe’s Sporting Goods in St. Paul, where you’ll have access to a private onsite gun range for the qualification.

Many students renewing their permits also choose our online class option via the Conceal and Carry MN app, making the process even more flexible and convenient.
